HS Centre Break Tourney
A double elimination tournament with short matches, which should be playable even with the lag problems. Because the matches will be short, it’s meant to be ‘fun’; don’t take it too seriously.
How to break:
1) The cue ball should be left in the starting position. (If you pick it up by accident, just try to put it back in the middle as close as possible.)
2) You must hit the apex ball of the pack, in this case the 13. You can hit any part of this ball: it doesn't have to be a full contact.
3) No side spin should be applied.
4) Soft breaks (‘breaktapping’) are allowed, although if enough balls don’t hit the cushions your opponent will get ball-in-hand, as in the normal MC rules.
Other rules:
1) This tournament is not called pocket. Flukes are allowed.
2) Your opponent is allowed to time out. Either pass the turn back or wait for the clock to run down, depending on how tight their shot is.
3) You must hit a cushion or pocket a ball when the table is an ‘open table’. If you fail to do so, you should give your opponent ball-in-hand.
4) No power-ups or boosts are allowed.
Format:
1) The tournament is double elimination, with a double final if the loser wins the first final match.
2) The draw will be decided randomly, using Challonge.
3) All matches are rt5, except the finals which are rt8.

Re: HS Centre Break Tourney
gg franz & thank you.
Thanks to all players for finishing ahead of schedule.
I'll look at the poll results in HS Chatzy in the next couple of days to see what tournaments should run next month.
